Konica Minolta Australia

Konica and Minolta were two separate businesses that merged in 2003 to become Konica Minolta. Before the merger of the two businesses both had been successful in their own right since the 19th century.

Rokusaburo Sugiura began Konica in 1873 selling photographic products. By the start of the 20th century his company had produced their first camera. Konica manufactured Japan's first photocopier and was a market leader in document management and photographic products.

Minolta came to be in 1928.  Its business was the manufacturing of cameras.  Minolta went on to develop some of the worlds firsts in photocopier technology. They were the first to develop technology to enlarge and reduce images and the first two-colour photocopies. Minolta was a world market leader in imaging technology.

When the companies merged in 2003 they combined their knowledge, expertise and thirst for researching and developing new technologies year after year.  Konica Minolta prides itself on being an expert in 12 core technologies; including materials, optics, nano-fabrication and imaging.

During the 1990's Konica Minolta launched the world's first three-colour combination copier and fax machine.  This was followed by the world's first multifunction machine. From 2000 Konica Minolta concentrated on developing their printing technologies with the launches of their multifunction printers for fast document printing, copying and scanning which have evolved over the years to meet the ever changing needs of businesses. In 2007 Konica Minolta withdrew from the camera and photo markets.

Ink Depot offers a range of genuine Konica Minolta products for different model printers from drum units to toner cartridges at great prices.
